Intermediate–Advanced Tango Class with Greg & Blair (Level 3)

Level Three is an exploration of the expressive and dynamic possibilities of Argentine Tango. Designed for dancers ready to move beyond foundational structures, this level focuses on advanced technique, nuanced musicality, and creative combinations. Dancers will deepen their understanding of connection and embrace while expanding their movement vocabulary to include more complex and playful elements. Classes emphasize adaptability, precision, and intention—supporting dancers in making confident, musical choices on the social dance floor.

Each series functions as a self-contained module while gently building on concepts explored in previous Level Three series. Student input helps shape the focus of each session, allowing the class to evolve organically while maintaining a cohesive progression over time.

Learning goals may include:

• Boleos (linear and circular)

• Advanced sacadas and ganchos

• Combination development and transitions

• Musicality, phrasing, and rhythmic play

• Deepening connection and refined technique

• Close embrace concepts

• Off-axis movements such as volcadas and colgadas

• Soltadas and moments of open connection

This level supports long-term growth and is often repeated as dancers continue to refine technique, expand musical awareness, and develop a more personal tango voice.

Prerequisite:
Generally taken after 4–6 months of Level Two. Students may take Level Two and Level Three concurrently once ready. Instructor approval required.
