COST: $10 contribution requested to support the visiting DJs
BYOB: If that’s your thing — water and seltzer provided
POT LUCK: Food welcome but not required
HOT TUB: Open after sunset
WHO: Alternative tango dancers who embrace the modern alt tango spectrum

SCHEDULE:
7:00PM: Doors open - Food & socializing on the porch; Light danceable music for the vibes
8PM-Midnight: Dancing
Midnight-: A bit quieter danceable music

ABOUT:
There was once a thriving alt scene in Portland. 
The Vision is just that… a vision to create a thriving alt tango culture with regular alt tango milongas, practicas, and parties right here

MUSIC:
Expect primarily alternative, non-tango music, with some modern orchestras woven in

FACILITIES:
The wooden hot tub will be open.  Plan accordingly, perhaps bring your favorite towel
There will be outdoor dancing on the front porch and the back deck
There will be indoor dancing on oak floors

PARKING:
There is ample street parking in the neighborhood

DANCE FLOOR ETIQUETTE:
Safety and consent are top priorities; please respect your partner's boundaries. 
To keep the floor safe for everyone, please stay in the line of dance, observe the flow, and respect the space of others on the dance floor.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF
Drink plenty of water. Copious amounts of seltzer will be available in a cooler and in my fridge (yes, just open it up and take). If you’re drinking, please do so responsibly, pace yourself and know your limits.

TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER
If someone looks like they need help or has had too much, please check in with them or bring it to the attention of me, your host, or to one of the DJs or other persons I’ll identify that night.
